Hello,

Need your advice about "Dead-end street Feng Shui House Direction"

The house is beside the dead end road, not facing the dead end road and there is a wall between the dead end road and the house.

Any remedies?

Thanks in advance

I wish I could say otherwise but a septic tank in the house is not ideal. So are inefficient indoor toilets.

The relief for this is to make sure that they are well sealed and that nothing escapes from below. Keep the area where it sits well ventilated and let lots of sunshine in.

We tend to forget that Feng Shui has everything to do with the vibrancy and harmony of the land. If we work along this principle, we can find the answers to most of our Feng Shui questions.
All d Best!

Hi Dion,
Your description of your property does qualify as a cul-de-sac. Dead ends are not necessarily to be taken literally. If your property sits on open gentle ground with a good flow of light and air, it is fine. The opposite would be a property where one end of the road hits a wall with no turn around or it stops sharply at a raised hillside or embankment.
Across, you mentioned the community water tanks. Maybe you meant storage tanks. Are these raised? These points would be of greater concern to you. Do they have pumps running (noise)? Are they a good distance off from you? Since you mentioned tanks, are there too many congesting up the space and view. So they sit higher than your roof?
Except for the last one, they are generally undesirable attributes. Fortunately, they can be taken care of through good architecture and use of trees, shrubs and of course aesthetic walls.

Hi, i also just bought a house and lot which is considered as the end-unit,which will finish building in a year or so. and with a dead end road or space. Im on one side of the road and across mine is the space provided for water tanks for the community. So its open spaces since the end of the road is facing the wall/perimeter fence of the subdivision. Is this a good location both physically and with regards to feng shui? Is it considered a dead-end unit or a cul-de-sac unit? And any advice as i start this endevour? Thanks!

Again, no straight answer. However, some guidelines.
a. If the house is off the line of the road leading in, it is acceptable. If not, then use a wall or shrubbery to deflect and redirect. Result to achieve is that the road leading in does not seem to punch at your home. (the quality of the fengshui will be judged from the orientation and when the house was built)
b. Mirrors are not used this way. Part superstition and part ignorance.
c. Busy backyard may also mean it is easily intruded? Wise to consider this well. If the noise level is unacceptable, then do something to reduce that noise. Irrespective of what the quality of the fengshui is, managing the noise level is the preferred option.

Hello,

I just bought a home at the end of a cul de sac. My drive way is a straight shot from the road and my door is slightly to the right. Is this negative Feng Shui? Should I buy a mirror?

Oh, and my back yard has a busy road behind it. (Did not know it was busy until I moved in).

Thank you for any help!! :)

Hi Annie,
Do you mean a treatment tank or perhaps those obsolete oxidation ponds (never could understand why these were ever allowed)? These are the types that were built in the 60's to the 90's but I am not sure whether they are still in use as IW may have routed all the waste to a treatment plant.

Let me answer in a general way. If the septic tank is near you, for example like just across the road 50 feet away, even though it is small, it is not good.

If it is one of those along Old Klang Road or NPE slip to the smart tunnel, its effect is much magnified. Feng Shui deals with effects and this would include sights, smells and sounds basing on the principle that the things around us has its nature. Their nature express and impose upon us and dealing with them is one expression of Feng Shui.

Hope this helps.
