There are many methods of casting a horoscope the Chinese way. The almanac contains simple ones. Popular methods are the BaZi or Eight Characters (sometimes called the Four Pillars), the Iron Plate divination as well as the I-Ching divination.
Traditionally, the minimum is a set of birth details like the month and day is necessary. There are others who require hour and location as well.
