Auspicious Days for January 2010
It is a Chinese practice to set aside days for a sprucing up the house in time for welcoming the Lunar New Year. (this year it falls on February 14).
It is something like the spring cleaning that preoccupies the Westerners. The only difference is that the Chinese place great importance in selecting a suitable day for this activity.
The Almanac recommends the HOUSEKEEPING days you see marked in red. For example, 23th January 2010. So go ahead, give that house a good run-through. Make this a good time to get off that couch and work in some feng shui. There are wonders of a spick and span home and is said to be given by non other than the sage Confucius.
Those in the yellow boxes are general good days for other activities. For example 10th January 2010. On these yellow days , most of the trouble makers are on leave.
Those born with the stated animal signs should avoid those days with the sign. For example 24th January 2010 is not good for those born in the dragon year. They can choose another day like the 28th to do their thing.
Personally I prefer the 24th both if you are born in the dragon years, then it may not be suitable for you.
