Remedy for Dangerous Five Yellow Tiger Year 2010

by Lai SW on January 20, 2010

As a standalone, the five yellow is the fiercest force that affects us.

Of all the various stars and influences that we need to consider, the five yellow is one that requires the utmost care and caution.

Where is this fella coming from this tiger year? He sits in the Kun sector and that would be the southwest direction.

In terms of relationship with our homes or living space, those that will require our attention would be:

1              Our house door faces the five yellow

2              our house sits on the five yellow

3              our kitchen sits on the five yellow

4              our toilets or bathrooms sits on the five yellow

The five yellow brings along with him misfortunes, illnesses, bad health, obstacles and all general bad luck and maladies.

1              House facing the five yellow

Be wary of injuries so always do things with more caution and avoid engaging in activities where life and limb are open to accidents. This is so especially for pregnant mothers. Strenous activities should be avoided. Things like slips and falls.

2              House sitting on five yellow

Health may suffer. Better to do that medical checkup and pay extra attention to the needs of our body.

3              Kitchen on five yellow

If this is an area of robust activity it could give added boost to the malignancy of the five yellow. It hastens the force of the five yellow. Keep the kitchen area clean and foul odors and smoke have to be cleared out as quickly as possible. The problems are the same as of those which sits or faces the five yellow

4              Bathroom on the five yellow

Again, the bath and toilet areas have to be clean and the daily odors that arises from its usage. The five yellow may attack the kidney areas as well as the urinary genital areas. Keep the door closed at all times even when not in use. This will minimize the odors escaping into the living areas.

Well, these are in general sound and specific advice.

In feng shui, there are various schools of thoughts on how to alleviate the five yellow. Whether the malignant powers of the five yellow is activated or not, of course, will also depend on whether there are other factors giving rise to it.

Every house would be different and require quite a careful analysis but the best feng shui advice that can be offered are:

A             keep the area afflicted ‘quiet’. That would mean not doing anything major like renovations, daily noise and banter, bright lights, incessant noise and foul smelling stuff. And not forgetting switching off the fan and other moving electronic equipment when they are not in use.

B             Use of a bell or wind chime that produces a resonant deep melodic sound. Please note the sound has to be resonant and melodic and not clanging metal or tinkling. They have different attributes.

C             The aquarium is not suitable here this year. Remove it to somewhere else!

As discussed before, there are various approaches and some recommend auspicious feng shui products or symbols. I must say their usefulness is limited and very much depends on what they actually are.

The five yellow is said to have the attribute of earth in the five elements scheme of things. It is not wise to attack or attempt to destroy it with fire as some have recommended. If we are thinking of fighting it, we would have forgotten the basic rule of harmony. It is much, much better to adopt the gentle approach of guiding it away and to do that we use metal to dissipate its power. That is why wind chimes are useful.

In using wind chimes, do note that the area should not be too windy. Constant and jarring noise is not right. I hope this is noted. On the other hand, where the chime is silent, then it serves no purpose.

On this aspect of using metal as an alleviating force, the correct aspect of the force has to be used. With the five yellow thus, it is using the energy and vibration of sound. This is very different from, say, a copper urn or metal figurine.
