What is in it for Monkey in the year of the Tiger 2010?

by Lai SW on January 4, 2010

As we know this year this coming year is the year of the Tiger. Technically it begins at 6.48am on the 4th February 2010.

Of the twelve animal signs this year, the Monkey is said to be in direct conflict with the energies of this year.

The tigers seem to be overly concerned as far as their fortunes for this year are concerned but that may be somewhat misunderstood and in most cases over-imagined. For them tigers, it is more like transition phase. Like the old saying, life goes in circles but in this case, it is moving from one milestone to the next. In a coarse way, the astrologers came up with a thing called the “twelve cycles of life”.

According to this “twelve cycles of life”, man is born, matures, takes on responsibility and eventually passes on to begin anew. You may say it is a rough way of looking at human life and your observation, just like the old ones, is correct.

1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992 … these are the monkey years. Well, not exactly the year that begins on January 1st of the Gregorian calendar. The Chinese lunar year begins round about 4th February. So, if one is born, say, between 4th February 1980 to 3rd February 1981, then one belongs to the monkey year.

This is a tough year for the monkey. The law of chance is not running so much in their favor. The lucky stars are not shining so bright so it is better to lie a bit low.

Yes, stay low key. Stay cool. Stay on the sidelines. That’s the big advice. In big matters, one will have to exercise great discretion. Great patience is needed. Observe the situation and gather all the facts more than you would normally do before arriving at a decision.

Confrontations are to be handled with the give approach. Like Dale Carnegie would say, this is not the time to point out the mistakes of others. Why over-react and tell people they are wrong. Nobody likes being told they are wrong. There will be a better time.

Chinese astrology and forecast or prediction is based on the positions of a complex array of stars and others. There are also various combinations of methods employed. In grouping using the twelve animal signs, a very broad based approach is used. There are of course other very detailed methods for individual readings like the Eight Characters, Purple Star astrology, Iron Plate Divination, I Ching divination.

May you have a happy fruitful year filled with love, gratitude and light!

I hear. I hear. Horse seems to be the target for nit-picking. Perhaps not take chances with not paying the parking ticket… :)

Hi,
My mom is born in the year 1932 (aged 78 yrs) and intend to go for knee operation (both knees) coming August 11, 2010. May I know whether the date is good for the surgery to be performed. Alternatively, 22/9, 25/9 and 29/9 are also available for the operations.

Appreciate your advise urgently.
Thank you and warmest regards
SN

Hi SN,
I must say that the 4 days are not on my general good day list.

22/9 and 25/9 are not suitable.

You can choose 11/8 or 29/9. How about trying 18/8 which is a Wednesday.

It is none of my business but I cannot resist mentioning there must be reason to do both her legs at the same time.

All the best for the coming operation.
